bear* in mind i'm scottish and was brought up to think of billy as some sort of distant funny uncle. can't stand the sour-faced humourless faker these days. and his wife's vastly less attractive. avoid!
on a lighter note, i'm curently barely* able to but down "the bear comes home" by rafi zabor. it's about an alto-sax virtuoso trying to evolve a personal style out of coltraine and rollins. he's also walking talking, blake and shakespeare quoting bear. highly recomended. maybe skip the sex scenes though. i now now rather more than i wanted to about the heterotopic baculum's involvement in inter species "love". seriously. yuk. the bits about music are shit hot though.
