I have been at events where men (but amazingly never a woman - even when the unmistakable tang of severe BO has been in evidence ) have got up mid date and headed for the bar! She really, really, doesn't want that to happen.
Anyway, what you say only forms 15% of 'making an impression'. Body language and , to a lesser extent, HOW you say things make up the other 85%. So nice friendly smile (to everyone) and NO getting caught looking people up and down are the rules.
