Yes I was deliberately being slightly controversial (for want of a better word) with a view to sparking some kind of a debate, which has clearly worked (just look at how many posts there are on this thread as opposed to much else on here). For the millionth time I don?t really think every band in Bristol is shit, but that to date I have yet to see any that I have really felt deserve a proper shout at the big time (and yes I realise this might be because I don?t spend every single night in the Croft ? sorry about that some of us have jobs etc). I will be checking out the bands you have all mentioned ? but please don?t get in a mood if I don?t like them ? there is just a chance they might not be very good ? and that certainly applies to the ones I have heard of off your lists, although clearly this is just my opinion.

Why so spikey? ? Because, and you wont believe this for a second ? I care about this greatly. However the difference between me and most of you is that I don?t think grumbling about it, claiming it?s a conspiracy and wallowing in the injustice of it all, is going to help anyone. I would love to help get involved in any positive movement to improve things but I doubt I would be welcome, what with not sharing everyone else?s blind optimism. Bands simply need to be better ? and I include my own in that more than anyone ? that?s what we are striving for. Its my life?s mission to write a song better than Pavement, not just write some songs and then sit back waiting.

Bola ? I?ll be honest. I don?t like your attitude in the slightest, and its clear you don?t like mine. Lets agree to disagree, but generally, listing ridiculously small bands then lashing out at anyone who hasn?t heard of them is pathetic. You realise anyone, yes anyone could do that? Really indie and pathetic. Grow up.

This will be my last post on this board as opinions are clearly not welcome. I hope all your bands are as good as you think they are and I hope you all get signed shortly and do really well.
