The Pogues - wild, glorious mayhem. Drunkenness, metal trays being smashed over heads and a fabulous celebration. You don't need to be Irish to enjoy it, nor a Londoner, just to have a penchant for having a good time.
Billy Bragg - Almost a religious experience. Whatever the cause, he'll be there spouting beliefs from an invisible pulpit with an infectious passion. But it's all topped off with wry self-deprecating humour and of course fabulous music, many of them sweet beautiful love songs.
Pixies - an incessant bomb blast of bass heavy punk rock. Incessant and gob smacking with Black Francis' amazing throat searing vocals.
Who are yours? - and please think it through, it's got to be about atmosphere, occasion, performance and finally, the songs. So if anyone comes on here and says the Strokes (and I love them on record) their login will be deleted. It's for the best.
