Heigh-ho. So I did the usual rummaging and downloaded a few tracks that, for some reason, weren't already to hand. Amongst these was "Lust For Life". Good to hear those big drums again. Or so I thought...
Because, after a couple of plays, I glanced at the track details on the music player and realised I'd downloaded it not from "The Idiot", but from "101 Running Songs", whence it had somehow been collected. So the genre column doesn't list it as "rock" but as "fitness & workout".
This shouldn't make a difference, but it does. It really does. And somehow it ties in with those car insurance ads - now if I try to listen to the song my mind tortures me with images of Iggy and his Evil Puppet Sidekick jogging through a palm-tree infested Hell shouting self-improvement slogans at dead souls.
Honestly, I shudder at the thought of playing it now.
