Apparently it's to do with NI contributions - she's worked and lived in america for a year and australia for two but that is only three years out of 20+ years of working.
She's written a letter asking them to explain their decision. They've said that she might be entitled to income support. The problem is this is more waiting/forms and no money coming in. I think they just want her to stop fighting and just rely on others around her till she goes back to work.
Unfortunately she's also got temporary brain damage at the moment and this is not helping her mental state.
Oh and I suppose I should mention that this is the same council that made her leave her last property so that they could house homeless kiddie fiddlers. Yep, you read it here first - they made teachers leave a property (promising to house them in adequate replacement shelter - please don't make me go into the political bullshit that went with it) so that nonces could have a home - they made teachers 'homeless' to house...couldn't make it up.Statistics: Posted by Cavey — Thu Feb 14, 2008 6:21 pm
