The Feeling Sewn
Island Records

Article written by Hattie N
Feb 9, 2006.

There are so many reasons why any self-respecting person should abhor the “first proper single” from “hotly tipped newcomers” The Feeling: it’s the bastard offspring of modern day (ie painfully dull) Bon Jovi and that Bad Day song by Daniel “look at my beanie” Powter; it contains the line “ Danny Boy don’t be afraid to shake that ass and misbehave”; they give up singing dross like that by the time it reaches the chorus and instead go “na na na na” a lot; it sounds like it should be played in The OC any time they walk along a beach looking pensively optimistic; it’s a soulless pile of inoffensive tosh that was probably genetically engineered in a lab somewhere in order to make a few people very rich... Unfortunately it so shamelessly flaunts all of the above that it is impossible not to love it. So guiltily wonderful is it that it compels you to put it on repeat for hours and hours until you too are going “Yeah! Yeah!”at the end in joyful expectation of getting to hear the whole sordid thing all over again.
