The Bridge Gang Pangs Of Guilt / Sarah's Brother
Dogbox Records

Article written by Graham S
Mar 11, 2005.

Hailing from Hackney (but not hackneyed) The Bridge Gang have existed for a scant 6 months, though you would never guess, such is the gelling power of their intense strop pop. Sarah’s Brother boasts vocals not dissimilar to Dominic Masters, but fortunately lacking his lyrical, erm, prowess, the music skipping merrily along while exposing a dark underbelly: ‘Sarah’s brother was in the Boy’s Brigade, navy blue jersey found by the lake’. Pangs Of Guilt is Jonathon Richman exuberantly covering The Pixies (or possibly the other way round). Please sir, can I have some more.

These tracks will be available for free download from Dogbox on Monday 21st March, and the band appears at the second Dogbox night at the Dublin Castle on April 3rd, also featuring luxembourg, celeb DJs, and the promise of cake.
